LION YVONNE BRADFORD

About

PROMOTIONS CHAIRPERSON /
 DIRECTOR ‘C’ DISTRICTS

Yvonne Joined Lions International at the Lions Club of Narrogin (W2) in February 1998. Apart from her Club involvement at Narrogin, she was Secretary of the Dryandra Woodlands Management Board for 3 years.

Along with her husband PDG Ken, she transferred to the Lions Club of Rocky River (C1) in 2004, and then to Lions Club of Clare District (C1) in 2005.

Yvonne has held several positions at Club Level, including President, Secretary, Membership Chairperson, and at District Level has been a Zone Chairman, Cabinet Secretary, and is currently ALF District Chairperson. Yvonne has also served on three District Convention Committees, one as Secretary and two as Cabinet Secretary.
The Pinery Fire which occurred in November 2015 saw the need for some major support from the Australian Lions Foundation, and as District Chairperson Yvonne was able to help conduct interviews with those affected by the fires to ascertain the level of help required by individuals and families. This involvement confirmed with Yvonne her desire to be involved with the Foundation as a Director, and she was elected to this position at the Hobart Centenary Convention in May 2017. Currently her position with the ALF is Promotions Chairperson.

Her awards include a James D Richardson Honour Award, a Barry J Palmer Recognition Award and she is a Melvin Jones Fellow.

Currently semi-retired, Yvonne enjoys her part time work as Cellar Door Wine Sales assistant in the Clare Valley, and is married to PDG Ken Bradford.
