Sydney Lions get together to support Sutherland Hospital

Sydney Lions Zone 4 undertook a Project led by the Cronulla Lions Club along with the Oatley, Lugano, Kogarah, Blacktown Ponds and Sydney Host Lions Clubs to provide a Babyleo TN500 Humicrib to the Sutherland Hospital Maternity Unit. The Humicrib is leading technology at a cost of $65,000 and was supported by the Australian Lions Foundation who provided a $15,000 grant.

Simone Payn the Nursing Midwifery and Operations Director said that the new Humicrib will be invaluable to providing the best care for premature babies and peace of mind for their families. She added the new technology is the next best thing to a womb, protects premature babies so they can grow with the combination of three heat sources and has easy workflow benefits with quick and comfortable access to the baby. Ironically, this Humicrib will replace a Humicrib that was at the end of its life cycle that was provided by the Cronulla Lions 10 years ago.
