LIONS ARE THERE WHEN DISASTER STRIKES
THE AUSTRALIAN LIONS FOUNDATION ongoing ‘National Disaster Appeal’ provides funds for Lions Clubs engaged in emergency services and recovery efforts around Australia.
Lions Clubs, through their Australian Lions Foundations are always ready to help their communities during disasters and emergencies.
Disaster or Emergency Grants support local club fundraising to help out during emergencies.
Emergency Grants:
Funding support is to be provided by the managing Club or District through the provision of vouchers at local stores, debit cards, via store accounts established or vouchers produced by the managing club redeemable on presentation by respective stores etc.
Disaster Recovery Grants
This grant is available to Districts for areas that have been impacted by a Disaster and help needed to assist with recovery / restoration / rehabilitation efforts.
Grants are provided to individuals or families but not for business related items, purely for personal/family needs.
