We all have seen the devastating flooding that has happened in far north Queensland following cyclone Jasper. Many communities have been cut off and flood waters have reached extremely high levels.
Everest Marathon is the world’s highest marathon and in training for the May 2024 event Sari-Elle will be raising funds and awareness for the incredible impact Lions volunteers have in their communities with the assistance of Australian Lions Foundation.
The Australian Lions Foundation is launching an appeal, to support those residents in the areas of Southern Queensland and Northern New South Wales, who are currently being impacted by devastating rain and flood waters.
A massive thank you to all our little ones for listening and showing empathy and commitment to community.
Tony Benbow spoke about the Australian Lions Foundation and was delighted to receive a donation of $1000 for our National Flood Appeal.
The Foundation has already provided 6 Grants totaling over $230,000 direct to Clubs in affected areas and we are currently processing another 3 grants for similar assistance to other areas to the value of over $250,000.

The Foundation will consider all grants sought and consider them immediately. Our sincere thanks must go to the various Districts and areas as to how you are managing the support for fire affected communities.
Thank you to the many clubs, individuals and organisations who have once again supported the Foundation and enabled us to provide assistance to those in need throughout our District network.
